Senior Mechanical Engineer with Security Clearance
Must have an active (or ability to obtain and maintain) TS/SCI with CI Polygraph The purpose of this position is to provide the essential administrative processes, technical knowledge, and direction as listed.
This role has the responsibility to promote Fluor's competitiveness within the global marketplace by delivering quality services of unmatched value and technical competence.
This position serves as an Area Lead or Lead on assigned projects or performs complex to difficult engineering assignments, evaluates, selects, and applies advanced engineering techniques to a broad set of complex assignments.
o Develop and review estimates and schedules, progress reports, including manpower forecastso Establish, track, and monitor material key quantities; provide analysis and forecastso Develop and review specifications, including design criteriao Participate in activities associated with equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontractingo Perform and check calculations, specify equipment, and solve problems of complex to difficult engineering complexityo Participate in people development through mentoring, development of training material, conducting training seminars, and performance appraisal input and counselingo Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelineso Other duties as assigned Eligible for Employee Referral Program Salary:
$140,000 - $155,000 Positions covered by the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act or Davis-Bacon Act will comply with the statute requirements.
Basic Job Requirements:
o Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and ten (10) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirementso Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitorso Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the jobo Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelineso Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner Other Job Requirements:
