Responsibilities Peraton has an opening for an experienced Journeyman DevSecOps/Cloud Engineer (Space Systems).
Become part of our team where we will partner with our client and the United States Space Force (USSF) to be the lead systems integrator for delivering the next generation of Missile Warning (MW), Tactical Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (TISR), and Environmental Monitoring (EM) capabilities.
We will assist the USSF in developing, deploying, and integrating remote sensing space and ground processing systems as part of the Remote Sensing (RS) Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) team.
The position requires a collaborative approach to work with users, development contractors, and other stakeholders to elicit, define, communicate, and manage needs, requirements, and visions that will define the next generation of MW, TISR, and EM systems.

The DevOps/Cloud Engineer will be responsible for the following but not limited to:
Develop infrastructure automation to deploy, secure, orchestrate, and manage, AWS resources.
Design and develop CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and containerized application deployments.
Play a key role in migrating and transforming legacy solutions to AWS Supports stakeholder definition working groups and requirement and capability needs assessments and gap identification Strong working background in developing and operating cloud-based infrastructure for Government clients Experience deploying and debugging, systems administration, container management and orchestration, scripting & automation skills, and a fundamental understanding of DevSecOps conceptsQualifications Required Qualification:
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics with 8 to10 years of relevant experience; OR a Master's degree with 6 to 8 years years of relevant experience This position requires the candidate possess a minimum of Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI.
The candidate must maintain the clearance Demonstrated, hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructures or GovCloud Direct, hands-on experience to deploy cloud infrastructure; additional experience with CloudFormation is a plus Hands-on experience with AWS tools such as EKS; Kubectl and Helm Ability to communicate and establish collaborative relationships Ability to work without supervision using tools such as GitLab for CI/CD; including experience with pipeline development Scripting experience with python and bash
Qualifications:
Experience with space-base remote sensing systems for Major Defense Acquisition programs Experience with RMF and threat modeling techniques Experience with system engineering processes and integration efforts for government agencies, or commercial programs Experience with programming languages, including C or C++, Scala, Ruby, Perl, Java, Python, or PHP Knowledge of secure coding practices including, secrets management, and vulnerability remediation Experience with container administration methods Knowledge of DoD5000.
01/02Target Salary Range $86,000 - $138,000.
This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
