Data Center Logistics Manager
Data Center Logistics ManagerAmazon is looking for an analytically minded person to join and lead a logistics team to provide support to data center operations.
This individual will be responsible for managing local logistics team members and operations while developing plans to support downstream activities.
Ideal candidates will leverage logistics knowledge and experience to deploy innovative, data-informed supply chain solutions that are customized to meet the unique challenges faced by data center operations teams.
This position will require a depth of management experience to lead and inspire logistics team members, while interacting with end customers, Amazon senior managers and business partners (e.
g.
Finance and Human Resources).
Responsibilities include:
Oversee and manage in-region data center operations Build logistics support models and plans that are aligned to operational plans and efforts Leverage data to inform supply and operations decision making cycles Apply gap analysis and approach development methodologies to develop unique, innovative solutions as new supply chain and operational requirements are identified Advise and educate data center operations managers and external teams on logistics and supply chain topics Maintain and operate logistics databases and supply chain ordering and tracking systems Manage and coach logistics team members Must be able to lift loads of up to 49 pounds and carry them for short distances Willing to participate in group lifts of 50 pounds or more Willing and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach Continuously climb and descend stairs safely (applies to sites with stairs) Regularly walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl Coordinate body movements when using tools or equipment Reach and stretch to position equipment and fixtures while maintaining balance Perform physical tasks all day without becoming overly tired Push or pull heavy objects into position Work in a noisy environment This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
