com/careers-welcome/ What is the role and where can you add value? The ideal candidate will be extremely organized, have a proactive mindset, be detail-oriented, and must be comfortable working closely with attorneys, legal professionals, business leaders, and customers.
Critical to this position is reliability, attention to detail, discretion, and respect for confidential information.
Multi-taskers with initiative and willingness to learn new skills are strongly preferred.
This is an exempt salaried position.
Core Job
Responsibilities:
Develops an understanding of our products and operations.
Proactively analyzes legal requirements for different business operations and products.
Assists with maintaining the companies' compliance with relevant state and federal laws.
Assists the company's Senior Corporate Counsel with reviewing and drafting documents, forms, and contracts.
Responds to and helps resolves certain escalated disputes and claims.
Files pleadings and prepare affidavits.
Assists with discovery, fact investigation, and legal research.
Works closely with marketing and sales on content for product, advertising, and social media to satisfy applicable legal requirements.
Assists with the maintenance of corporate insurance policies, including participation in the annual renewal and premium audit processes, gathering data for submission of renewal applications, auditing and processing insurance premium billings, and maintenance and renewal of required insurance certificates.
Maintains litigation and contract databases.
Notarizes documents and help maintain files for the department.
Other duties as assigned.
What skills and experience should you bring to this role? Experience and Education:
Exercises discretion and independent judgment with respect to legal affairs.
Handles complex issues and problems.
An associate degree and 3 to 5 years of experience is required.
A bachelor's degree preferred.
A paralegal certificate or regulatory/corporate experience strongly preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
