Quick Apply Full-time 38 minutes ago Full Job Description Job description Public Alliance LLC seeks to fill the position of Maintenance Technician to serve our metropolitan districts in Aurora, Colorado 80016 as well as other locations throughout the extended Denver Metro area.
Seeking candidate who lives in the South Aurora or Parker area.
The Maintenance Technician will have practical knowledge of irrigation systems, general maintenance methods, and the ability to make repairs to landscaping and outdoor facilities.
Essential Functions:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Monitor irrigated grounds.
Perform minor irrigation repairs such as adjusting spray orientation, nozzle or spray body replacement, and simple line breaks.
Report underwatering, overwatering, and other concerns.
Troubleshoot and perform basic irrigation repairs.
Perform fence painting, re-staining, or touch-ups.
Inspect parks and other amenities.
Test electrical outlets and natural gas grills, ovens, fireplaces and firepits for proper operation.
Perform wood chip raking, furniture cleaning, minor bathroom repairs, etc.
Sweep and/or power wash grill area, table areas, and pool deck concrete pads.
Provide supplementary snow removal after snow events in designated areas (mailboxes, parks, and paths), in conjunction with vendor-provided snow removal service.
Provide follow-up such as drift removal and applying ice melt.
Operate mechanical vehicles and equipment.
Read and implement maintenance plans and programs for infrastructure, equipment, buildings, and property.
Inspect District-owned fences on at least a semi-annual basis.
Perform minor repairs as needed (reattach loose boards, replace posts, etc.
).
Perform paint touch-up and other limited-scope painting.
Cover graffiti when it occurs in the pedestrian underpass tunnel and other painted surfaces.
Remove graffiti on non-painted surfaces.
Contribute to operational and maintenance reports.
Monitor contractor performance and report concerns.
Monitor native grass areas and perform overseeding when directed.
Report erosion, evidence of prairie dogs/rodents, and other concerns.
Inspect trails and common area sidewalks, report damaged concrete.
Remove trash, silt, and weeds from trails, parks and common areas.
Submit receipts in a timely manner when purchasing supplies with company funds.
Address emergencies in a timely manner, determine root cause, and establish plans to avoid recurrence.
Perform customer service-related duties.
Set up and tear down equipment, decorations, and tables and chairs before and after social events.
Self-manage at the direction of management and in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
Communicate effectively with management in a timely manner.
Maintain a clean and safe environment.
Attend occasional Board or Committee meetings via Zoom.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, the Board of Directors, consultants, property owners and other governmental entities.
Consistently promote, support, work, and act in a manner consistent with Public Alliance's vision, mission, and values.
Other tasks, as assigned.
Education:
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) equivalent
Experience:
Minimum of two years related experience.
Landscaping and/or Construction experience is preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:
Must have reliable transportation and be able to respond to emergency situations within one hour when on duty / on call.
On-call is rotated and is approximately one weekend per month.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Pass a driving record (MVR) and criminal history background check prior to the start of employment.
Current backflow tester certification is a plus.
Working environment:
Frequent outdoor work, sometimes in extreme weather conditions (hot/cold/windy/snowing); walking on uneven terrain; exposure to insects.
Work may occasionally involve long hours and overtime during holidays, weekends, evenings, and snow events.

Ability to stand, sit, and walk on unpaved terrain for sustained periods.
May involve climbing ladders, stairs, steps, and pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and kneeling on a frequent basis.
Requires manual dexterity to complete tasks through safe and proper operation of power and hand tools, and motor vehicles.
Be able to move, position, and carry loads of up to 50 pounds and load on four-foot-high surfaces.
