Apply Today!Job Summary and Qualifications The Nurse Manager provides leadership in conjunction with the Director of Patient Care in planning, organizing, monitoring and evaluating the care provided for patients. The delivery of care is based on criteria that is age appropriate and based on the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety and learning needs of the individual patient. The nurse manager performs duties consistent with the scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of The Medical Center of Aurora. The manager displays positive support for the overall goals, values and mission of The Medical Center of Aurora. Responsibility include but are not limited to: staffing of the unit, management of productivity in conjunction with the Director of Patient Care, recovery planning, peer interviews and hiring new staff, yearly employee evaluations for both RN's and PCTs, performance improvement, role modeling and coaching of staff under their direction, unit safety and security, adherence to medication management practices and service excellence/leadership. n What qualifications you will need:Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse licenseCurrent BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red CrossCPI certification and recertification every 2 years thereafterBSN preferred, Associate Degree with experience acceptableMinimum of three to five years in comparable position preferred. Recent clinical experience in specialty. This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
