Work involves creating, integrating, applying and sharing knowledge directly related to a professional field.
At the intermediate level, duties may be more limited in scope and are performed with guidance and direction from other professionals.
Nature of the Work:
The Community Outreach Coordinator will report to the Community Engagement Services (CES) Program Manager and their work will be integral to the Learning Management Systems (LMS) team.
The Community Outreach Coordinator will serve as a liaison between CES/LMS and key community stakeholders to improve and fortify relationships, under guidance from CES leadership.
This individual will engage with adult learners (primarily Behavioral Health Providers) in both statewide and national communities, as well as those with lived experiences in different facets of Behavioral Health.
With direction from CES and LMS Managers and Program Managers, the findings from the individual in this role will inform the creation of new behavioral health curriculum as well as best practices for mutually beneficial relationships with community members.
In addition, this individual will be involved with building best practices, including system-building, process-creation and advising on responsible and mutually beneficial ways of engaging with community.
With support from CES Program Manager, the Community Outreach Coordinator will outreach and engage with key stakeholders, including mental and behavioral health practitioners, community members and other groups for advisement on behavioral health curriculum, trainings, and systems.
The Community Outreach Coordinator will also maintain relationships, make connections, and share learnings on best approaches for engaging with community and those with lived experiences.
In addition, they will facilitate interactions in various formats, including one-on-one conversations, emails, focus groups and listening groups.
The individual in this role should be committed to continuous learning and improvement in order to advise on and build lasting relationships with community.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Identify existing relationships and connections between the Colorado Behavioral Health Administration, Department of Psychiatry, behavioral health providers, and those with lived experiences in different areas of Behavioral Health Initiate outreach, build, and maintain connections/relationships with key individuals and groups who belong to the behavioral health provider community and to the community at large Facilitate conversations in various formats (one-on-one, listening groups, focus groups, Zoom, etc.
) with the above In collaboration with Instructional Designers, incorporate findings from community outreach into trainings offered by the LMS team Together with CES and LMS leadership, identify current and future key relationships for program success, utilizing social network mapping strategies Learn and utilize the Community-Academic Partnership framework Share relevant learnings on equitable practices for mutually beneficial relationships with community (ex:
how to initiate engagement, gift card program, free continuing education registrations, etc.
) Share relevant learnings on structures and systems to support the work of the LMS using the lens of adult learners and those with lived experience Understand and apply University of Colorado policies and processes This position is hybrid, with an expected 2 days a week in the office.
This position may also require some flexibility, specifically local travel within the metro Denver community and the ability to occasionally flex which days are in the office and which are remote.
In-office days/times and remote location days/times will be negotiated at time of job offer.

Minimum
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in business, public administration, health care, liberal arts, or a directly related field from an accredited institution and 1 year of professional level experience Substitution:
A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.

Benefits:
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $54,864 - $69,787.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
