Summary:
The Program to Advance Physician Scientists and Translational Research and the Schwartz/Yang Lab seeks an energetic and motivated individual to join our research group.
We are seeking a 1.
0 FTE position as a Business Services Principal Professional to provide high-level administrative support to the human subjects research of the Schwartz/Yang Lab and office management for the Program to Advance Physician Scientists and Translational Research on the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO.
The individual in this position will work both independently and in collaboration with the human subjects research coordinating team.
Specific priorities and duties of this position may change as the operational structure and administrative needs evolve.
Key
Responsibilities:
Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Program, including monthly and quarterly group meetings, annual research conference, and management of the Program Director's schedule.
Assist with educational and programmatic development and management.
Independently coordinate plans for Program initiatives, including scope of work, tasks and timelines, and metrics for success.
Database maintenance - track success of grantees, including the StARR Housestaff Scholars, Translational Research Scholars program, and the CU ASPIRE Program.
Assist with integration of research training programs during medical school, residency, and fellowship.
Assist with the development of a community among physician-scientists through networking, social events, and scientific conferences.
Collaborate with the Program Manager and SOM communications team for program marketing, including brochures, posters, coordination of website development and implementation.
Provide backup assistance to the Program Manager.
Management of all purchasing and procurement related tasks, including billing, invoice processing, and patient payments.
Work Location:
Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 2-3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications:
Minimum
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in science, public administration, business administration, or related field.
Substitution:
A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
3-5 years of progressively responsible experience, including experience in a university or healthcare setting.
Preferred
Qualifications:
A master's degree from an accredited college or university in science, public administration, business administration, or related field.
Thorough understanding of academic medicine and the role of the physician-scientist.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $68,210 to $86,763.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
