Summary:
The University of Colorado School of Medicine seeks a full-time Digital Communications Administrator.
This new position will lead and support the CU School of Medicine Communications team with strategic email communications and marketing.
The Administrator will manage, support, and train the CU School of Medicine's user base of email communicators and event managers on the CU eComm platform.
The Administrator will integrate communications best practices with technology capabilities to help communicators and event managers achieve results with eComm.
The Administrator will become an expert on Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, and Cvent applications and will provide support to the CU School of Medicine's account holders.

The role requires exceptional attention to detail and versatile mix of technical and creative skills across communications, marketing, business operations, and database management.
Leveraging eComm to serve internal and external users with digital communications best practices is a critical part of the position.
The Administrator will be a contributing member of the CU School of Medicine communications team supporting the goals of the Dean's Office.
This growing team connects, strengthens, and shares communications between the school and its departments, divisions, and centers, with members of our community.
eComm Platform - Technical Expert Serves as the CU School of Medicine technical lead for Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, and Cvent applications in the CU eComm platform.
Provides tactical and operational expertise for eComm users.
Understands all aspects of the eComm platform, including developing user guidelines for the CU School of Medicine users and adhering to CU Anschutz mass email communications policy.
Understands FERPA, HIPAA, CAN-SPAM, and other relevant federal and state legislation and university policies.
Applies and enforces these guidelines in daily work and with eComm users.
eComm Platform - User Support Provides timely support and assistance on Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, and Cvent applications to CU School of Medicine eComm users, in coordination with the CU Anschutz communications team.
Conducts discovery sessions with prospective eComm users to identify business requirements and facilitates new user training and onboarding.
Provides user support that addresses the use of eComm applications (Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, Cvent).
When issues are not resolvable, escalating issues to the CU Anschutz communications team according to its programmatic process.
Trains users on email marketing best practices, such as email design and layouts, information hierarchy, and data-driven content.
Reviews and approves events in Cvent to align with correct integration settings, campus brand standards, and financial configurations.
Trains users on event promotion and registration best practices.
Offers customer service that is prompt, accurate, and courteous.
Creates documentation on eComm structure, governance, and best practices.
Compile and generate content for regular updates to eComm users.
Work Location:
Hybrid - This position is a hybrid in-person and work-from-home model, and it requires excellent project management abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Senior Professional Level:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, Information Technology or related field from an accredited institution of higher education, or equivalent professional experience (professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis).
Two (2) years of experience in a communications support or digital marketing position or similar role.
Principal Professional Level:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, Information Technology or related field from an accredited institution of higher education, or equivalent professional experience (professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis).
Three (3) years of experience in a communications support or digital marketing position or similar role.
Program Manager Level:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, Information Technology or related field from an accredited institution of higher education, or equivalent professional experience (professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis).
Four (4) years of experience in a communications support or digital marketing position or similar role.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Academic and/or professional background in communications, marketing, design, database administration, information technology, or organizational management.
More than three years of experience in a communications support or digital marketing position or similar role.
Experience with email marketing applications in general, and Salesforce and Marketing Cloud in particular.
Active Marketing Cloud Email Specialist certification or willingness to obtain within the first three months of employment.
Experience with event registration/management applications in general, and Cvent in particular.
Active Cvent Event Specialist certification or willingness to obtain within the first six months of employment.
Professional experience in higher education, research, or health care industries is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
