Summary:
Women's Behavioral Health and Wellness (WBHW) in the Department of Psychiatry (DOP) has an opening for an Instructor or Senior Instructor rank Perinatal Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)- Outpatient Clinician (.
5 to 1.
0 FTE).
This is a new split position that will provide direct patient services in the Perinatal IOP as well as the WBHW Outpatient Clinic.
This newly created position will provide services in both the Perinatal Mental Health IOP and the WBHW Outpatient Clinic.
The IOP-Outpatient clinician will be responsible for providing direct group and individual therapy in the IOP as well as carrying a caseload of outpatient clients.
The split between the two roles will be negotiated upon offer.
Along with open rank, there may be an opportunity to work at additional clinical and/or research settings based on skillset and program needs.
Key
Responsibilities:
Provides direct patient care in the Perinatal Mental Health IOP consisting of group therapy utilizing evidenced based practices and IOP curriculum Provides direct patient care in the WBHW outpatient clinic consisting of individual/ dyadic/family/ group therapy utilizing evidenced based practices on a collaborative interdisciplinary team Diagnose, evaluate, and provide direct patient individual therapy in areas such as crisis management, motivational interviewing, CBT, DBT, Interpersonal psychotherapy, etc.
Screen for suicidal ideation and other safety concerns Collaborates with the IOP clinical and medical directors and WBHW leadership to build relationships across different levels of care as well as obstetric providers.
Documents clinical interactions in a timely fashion to support clinic operations May supervise social work trainees as appropriate Other duties as assigned Why Join Us:

This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Instructor or Senior Instructor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below:
Instructor/Senior Instructor:
1-3 years of related clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience.
Minimum degree
Qualifications:
LCSW, LPC or LMFT Active Colorado License Preferred Qualifications (applicable for all ranks) IOP Clinical Experience Experience with program evaluation Experience with EPIC Experience with and/or training in perinatal and infant mental health Experience with crisis management and high acuity mental health care Experience with and/or training in group therapy modalities Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities To be successful in this position, candidates will need the following:
Knowledge of evidence-based treatments Knowledge of mental health issues and disorders.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with faculty, staff, students, alumni, industry and the public.
Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion.
Knows and applies best practices in diversity and inclusion practices or has knowledge and understands cultural differences.
Knowledge regarding clinical research regulations and principles of ethical conduct.
A demonstrated ability to organize and complete complex projects and to work under tight deadlines.
Clinical skill is required for conducting brief and targeted assessments in integrated care settings to provide short-term psychotherapy interventions, health and behavior change and triage for appropriate level of care.
