Summary:
The Department of Radiology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus has an opening for a full-time night radiologist to provide finalized reads with emergency department and emergent/stat inpatient coverage.
Excellent time off! Schedule is 7-nights on and between 14-21 days/nights off (total 15 weeks of night shifts and 37 weeks of vacation per year).
The position is local in the Denver metro area with easy access to all the beauty that Colorado has to offer.
The desired individual would enjoy reading challenging cases and teaching residents in a collegial work environment.
Candidates should be comfortable interpreting the range of emergent cases to be expected at a tertiary care and Level 1 trauma center, including neuro CTA, body/trauma CTA, and transplant imaging.

We are open to candidates at Senior Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and full-Professor levels.
Key
Responsibilities:
A 7-person team provides night coverage at University Hospital (tertiary care and level-1 trauma, 10 pm to 7 am) and at Denver Health Medical Center (level-1 trauma, 9 pm to 7 am), seven nights a week with at least one attending and one resident at each site.
On average, each team member performs 1 week at each site over the course of 7 weeks.
Interpretation of all emergent imaging studies performed, including but not limited to MR, CT, US, and CR/DR examinations.
Duties also include resident supervision and education.

This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Senior Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below:
Medical Degree or equivalent, Colorado Medical License by time of hire, ABR or AOBR Certification or eligible by time of hire, completed subspecialty fellowship by time of hire.
Competency is required in the interpretation of radiologic exams performed in the emergency and acute-care inpatient settings.
Preferred Qualifications (All Ranks) The individual would enjoy reading challenging cases and teaching residents in an environment that supports clinical research.
