Job Description Assist the veterinarian with routine care of animals and clients Provide client education and support for educational programs Assist in the examination, diagnosis, and treatment of animals and clients Perform radiographs, perform vaccinations, and prepare medications for clients and animals Maintain cleanliness of exam rooms, equipment, and facilities Maintain cleanliness of the practice during handling of sick or injured animals Perform administrative duties including scheduling appointments, answering phones, faxing documents, updating patient records, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail.
Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to multitask.
Must be able to work independently.
Must be able to communicate effectively with others.
Must be able to handle stressful situations with calm demeanor.
Must have excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the EMR system (Petcare).
Must have excellent customer service skills.
Must have excellent clinical skills.
Must be able to work with a variety of personalities.
Must have excellent organizational skills.
Must be comfortable with being part of a team.
Must be comfortable with handling difficult cases.
Must be comfortable with being part of a multidisciplinary team.
Must be comfortable with using an electronic medical record system such as EMR (Petcare).
Must have good references.
