Job Description: Position is for an E05 Systems Engineer to support the GPS-OCX Systems Integration Team. Job responsibilities include: Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) for external GPS OCX system interfaces and associated Interface Control Documents (ICDs) Monitor and participate in the system engineering, integration and test of system interfaces by the customer's System Engineering and Integration (SE&I) contractor Partner with SE&I and external segment contractors to ensure successful system integration and test of the GPS OCX Segment Define and lead early integration and demonstration activities that successfully reduce the risk of failure during system integration of the GSP OCX Segment Negotiate, facilitate, and manage external Giver-Receiver (G/R) activities and
events
between Raytheon and external G/R stakeholders Participate in, and represent Raytheon at external system engineering and integration working groups, TIMs and reviews; travel is required as necessary to accomplish this coordination Perform external stakeholder management of expectations for GPS OCX within the greater GPS enterprise Two of these positions will be in Aurora, CO, the third position in El Segundo, CA. Required Skills: Minimum of 8 years (as a Principal Systems Engineer) or 10 years (as a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer) Engineering experience Experience working in a multi discipline environment Experience working as a Systems or Software Engineer in the software development life cycle ECP development and management experience Technical Leadership experience Experience with interface definition/documentation (ICD) REQUIRES ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE Desired Skills: Experience with Satellite ground segment system interfaces and associated Interface Control documents (ICDs) Experience with Satellite Command, Control, Mission Planning and Scheduling Experience in Requirements development/derivation/management Experience with systems integration verification and validation (IV&V) Previous experience working with requirements management tools/databases Experience conducting trade studies Experience with Use Case development Experience with UML and Rational 4 1 views Experience with CONOPS development Experience working in a development or Satellite Operations environment Experience with Ground Systems Operations Experience with Planning, Scheduling and Orbit Operations Required Education (including Major): B.S./B.A. in Aerospace Engineering, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
