Systems Engineering Integration and Transition (SEIT) Deputy IPT Lead IIS Systems Engineering has a need for a Systems Engineering Integration and Transition (SEIT) Deputy IPT Lead on the JPSS program located in Aurora, CO. This position will concentrate on the Execution of the SEIT team with various responsibilities to ensure success on an aggressive schedule. The successful candidate will report to the JPSS SEIT Lead programmatically, as well as the JPSS Systems Engineering Department Manager for Section Manager duties. The successful candidate will work closely with the JPSS SEIT team, Office of the Chief Engineers (OCE), Program Engineer(PE) and Program Management during all phases of program development and must be effective at communicating and building trust with senior management and customers. The successful candidate must also be a proven and effective leader driving technical integrity in the engineering team's products and behaviors, while ensuring program execution to plan. Job
Responsibilities: Ensuring the integrity of all engineering products, such as system plans and specifications, requirements allocation products, system architecture, design analyses, interface descriptions, vulnerability assessments, software products, verification products, and product roadmaps Experience with Integration, Verification and Validation of a large system; understanding best practices and corporate processes for successful delivery of a large ground system Experience designing, implementing, testing, and fielding real-time, embedded information assurance/secure processing solutions on Department of Defense (DoD) programs Experience with security standards, methods, and policies; risk and threat analysis; technical security safeguard; and operational security measures Working knowledge of program management best practices and EVMS - Experience transitioning products to operational environments Experience working with customer representatives and building trust Experienced in communicating with senior management and customers, both in writing and in oral presentations Maintaining overall cost, planning, staffing, Giver/Receivers, schedule, tracking of actuals against budgets, ECPs/EEs and EBRs, cost variances, and EVMS reporting Extensive interaction with Program Managers, CPT and IPT Leads, and Directorate Managers to achieve business objectives Supports definition of operations concepts and procedure planning / development, as well as interfacing with other internal organizations Developing technical baselines and leading engineering content in development efforts Briefing senior management and customers on program progress and technical issues/corrective actions Required Skills: 12 years experience in Systems Engineering or equivalent program experience Demonstrated management and team leadership skills and the ability to work across functional team lines to identify salient issues, develop options for resolution Demonstrated experience with IV&V Demonstrable experience contributing in a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to technical and program problems Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially working with senior management teams and customers Ability to coordinate, organize and communicate with senior architects, technical directors, and teams of engineers to complete tasking.
