The Judge Group is seeking an experienced Automation Controls Engineer for a major food manufacturing company in Colorado. The qualified individual will provide engineering design, support, programming and guidance for industrial control systems. The Controls Engineer will provide information, training and developmental opportunities, and technical resources for plant team members.
Requirements:
o Programs and maintains PLC based control systems for manufacturing automation and instrumentation
o Supports plant projects and assist project leaders with the technical skills for automation and adherence to
automation standards and specifications
o Maintains and generates wiring schematics, control drawing and automation programs
o Coordinates maintenance, installation and enhancement of electrical control systems, both hardware and
software including PLC, thin-clients, drives and HMI
o Assists in end-user training for plant systems and applications
o Supports original equipment manufacturers, system integrators, project engineers and the manufacturing
plants in the implementation, design and start-up assistance of controls and automation projects
o Maintains documentation of systems (software, hardware, etc.) of medium to high complexity
o Supports the interviewing process as needed within the hiring of plant technical resources
o Provides support services on projects for System Integration firms
o Assists plants in determining requirements & assessing value of proposed services
o Provides management status reports and communicates with plants, divisions and general office
Requirements:
o BS in Electrical Engineering
o Must have a strong Wonderware and PLC background5 plus years of progressive related technical and
hands on experience
o Excellent communication skills and leadership behaviors
o Proven experience in PLC logic and programming of AB a CLX, PLC5, & SLC; and HMI, Motion
Control and SCADA programming and configuration of Wonderwareas Archestra based applications
Salary: $90,000-$110,000
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE MANUFACTURING FIELD
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
