Title: IT Security Specialist (Intermediate) III

Description: We are seeking an IT Security professional to join our team to plan, coordinate and implement the organization's information security.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to) the following:
Facilitate current security infrastructure and define future programs
Design and implement security related to IT systems
Ensure IA and IA-enabled software, hardware, and firmware comply with appropriate security configuration guidelines, policies and procedures
Maintain Information Security plans and documentation
Deploy and use appropriate communication protocols and encryption techniques/tools
Participate in IS risk assessment during the Certification and Accreditation (C&A;) process
Ensure assigned information systems are accredited and are operated and maintained in accordance with their C&A; documentation
Conduct continuous monitoring on accredited systems and review results.
Perform Analysis of existing/proposed IT systems, problems, security or requirements, general design or redesign of computer systems or subsystems
Direct or participate in all phases of study development with emphasis on problem definition & analysis
Maintain knowledge of computer and network technology, security policy and procedures and familiarity with the specific mission and function of assigned information systems
Design and prepare technical reports and related documentation
Keep abreast of emerging security technologies and make appropriate recommendations regarding the enhancement of the security posture of systems and their implementation
Qualifications: S_hall possess at least 9 years of experience in computer science/information security procedures with a High School Diploma or_7 _years of experience in computer science/information security procedures with an Associate's Degree or 5 years of experience in computer science/information security procedures with a Bachelor's Degree or 3 years of experience in computer science/information security procedures with a Master's Degree._
Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph!

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
