Our diverse facilities maintenance customer base includes institutions such as educational, lodging, health care and government facilities. Our customers range in size from individual contractors and independent hardware stores to apartment management companies and national purchasing groups. Every day at Interline is a diverse, fun and interactive experience! We are currently seeking a full-time Warehouse Associate to work Monday through Friday to join our team.
Job Responsibilities
As a Warehouse Associate you play a major role in customer satisfaction and fulfillment. You will have the opportunity to cross train in a variety of other warehouse functions including order selection, packaging, quality control, shipping, receiving and inventory control. As a team player, you will work with us to achieve our goal of /Exceeding Expectations Everyday/. We provide hands on training which will allow you to learn our environment quickly and master tasks quickly. We work diligently to provide a safe work environment and as an IBI associate it is our expectation that you will follow all safety procedures.
Responsibilities of the Associate role may include:
Following all safety procedures
Operating Material Handling Equipment such as motorized carts, pallet jacks, cherry pickers and reach trucks
Outbound functions include selecting, checking, packing and shipping orders
Inbound functions include receiving, placement and put away of product
Inventory Control includes cycle counts, inventory moves and accountability for all warehouse inventory accuracy
Housekeeping is the responsibility of all associates
Assisting with general operations and maintenance
Job Requirements
As a Warehouse Associate you /must/ be a self-starter who is hardworking, highly motivated and able to work under little supervision. We are seeking candidates who are eager to move up to leadership roles in the company. You /must/ be an excellent communicator who is able to follow directions efficiently and provide feedback in a timely manner. You /must/ have some basic computer skills. We are a highly customer focused organization; as a result, overtime may be required to meet business needs.
Other requirements of the Warehouse Worker include:
Some distribution experience (LTL) plus power equipment experience, /preferred/
Ability to change tasks easily in a fast paced environment
Ability to stand on feet for extended periods of time
Good English reading and speaking skills
Good basic math skills
Basic PC skills
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
Forklift experience, /a plus/
