Accounting Manager - Aurora, CO - Contract

Nations largest distributor of infant and children's clothing/accessories
Your Role:
Maintains general ledger to include the preparation of journal entries, coding of invoices, accounts analysis and reconciliation, setting up new accounts, and closing books monthly
Performs bank reconciliation monthly, verifies all deposits, and addresses questions and problems from banking institutions
Prepares payments by accruing expenses; assigning account numbers; requesting disbursements; reconciling accounts
Accounts Receivable collections/cash application (oversee lower-level AR teammate)
Assist with filing and audit prep
Treasury - disbursements, bank reconciliations, etc.
Assist with Accounts Payable and payroll as needed
Other duties as assigned
Background Profile:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Required
3-5 years of accounting experience
Strong collections/AR skill set
Ability to work in fast pace environment with a self-starter attitude
Strong problem solving skills
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience using AS400 software HUGE plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability To Work Independently
Strong attention to detail, with significant analytical and organizational skills
