AutoCAD Drafter - Aurora, CO - Contract to possible hire

Your Role:
Convert manual drawings into AutoCAD
Draft technical details from existing sketches and drawings
Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures
Consult technical handbooks and tables while in drafting phase
Create functional drawings using AutoCAD and/or Inventor
Create and store drawings electronically
Prepare variations of design
Prepare engineering drawings that detail plans and specifications
Develop wiring and layout diagrams
Prepare clear, definable drawings and bills of material for new and complex layouts through analyzing provided materials and either modifying existing or drafting new drawings and bills of material
Provide necessary support to various sales units by creating clear submittal/sales drawings related to existing drawings as directed by a Lead Design Drafter
Assist other designers in the performance of their work
Assist the Lead Design Drafter by maintaining the current status of all work orders assigned to him
Draft clear, definable drawings for other groups in the engineering department based on sketches, mark-ups and other guidance
Background Profile:
HS Diploma required, college degree preferred
1-4 years of drafting experience
Knowledge of AutoCAD - version 11 or later
Knowledge of Inventor or 3D modeling program a plus
Ability to work seated for extended periods of time
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
