Director of Employee Health & Wellness

Strategic leader for regional health and safety programs (Workplace Safety, Ergonomics, Employee Health, Workers' Compensation and Integrated Disability Management. Develops strategy to integrate health and safety programs that contribute to a present/productive workforce. Utilizes pro-active prevention measures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment to reducing the occurrence of accidents and injuries. Ensure regulatory compliance; including Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA), Department of Labor and Employment (DOL) and other Federal (Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), other State and Local regulations, collective bargaining agreement company policy and procedures. Manage resources to appropriately support KPCO. Collaborate with national and regional stakeholders, including labor leaders and national workplace safety to promote safety integration and accountability.
Essential Responsibilities:
Leadership/Human Resources; Supervise and support the ongoing professional development of direct reports involved with Employee, Workplace and Environmental Health and Safety. Select, develop, lead and manage a competent and professionally motivated staff, creating opportunities for personal development. Communicate effectively and regularly with staff regarding performance, educational opportunities and career development. Align and adjust structure to support national, regional and department goals.Compliance: Direct and manage KPCO Employee Health and Safety programs including management and oversight of all regulatory programs, compliance and issues that impact the work environments and the health and safety issues that affect all KPCO employees. Apply quality monitors, implement controls and create policies that support compliance.Consultation/regional performance: Reviews and interprets OSHA legislation and regulations and direct program development to meet regulations, educate staff, and provide direction to all levels of the organization to assure organizational compliance. Create and maintain a positive, team-oriented, motivated work environment focused on customer service, cost effective performance while enabling compliance to regulatory mandates.Vision/direction: Manage, plan and initiate and maintain data systems to capture; loss prevention information, employee compliance to immunity and screening requirements, and training compliance. Anticipate critical data needs to target prevention activities and provide pertinent information to all departments and facilities in KPCO.Financial/resource management: Management of administrative functions, including budgeting, that support all safety programs. Coordinate and delegate takes and activities related to the administration of the programs as warranted.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in managerial rolesMinimum ten (10) years of directly related, progressive safety experience. To include but not limited to, demonstrated results in workplace safety, change leadership, group interaction and dynamics, collaboration and facilitation of large scale organizational transformation. Demonstrated success in complex analytic problem solving, project management, communications, change management, and group process.
Bachelor's degree in safety, chemistry, health care administration, nursing or other closely related field OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree required.
License, Certification, Registration

Proven leadership, influence, communication, partnership, collaboration, and influencing skills are essential. Demonstrated experience working across functional lines, with strong ability to lead and coordinate projects/initiatives with multiple internal constituents at national, regional, and local levels.Demonstrated success in developing effective working relationships with regional leaders and labor partners.Experience in achieving high results and optimizing performance within a highly complex and matrix organizational structure.Excellent consulting, facilitation, leadership and communication and presentation skills required.Knowledge of OSHA regulations, Environmental Health and Safety, Emergency Preparedness, Incident Command, Security and Facility Design.Mastery of program development, implementation and maintenance.Demonstrated project management skills and ability to plan, prioritize and deliver in constrained time frames.Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; able to make presentations to a variety of audiences.Effective time management.Demonstrated ability to work with management and staff at all levels of the organization.Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in leadership and management principles including; team building, process facilitation, decision making, systems thinking, collaborative problem solving, negotiating, and consensus building skills.PC Proficient including MS Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint.Adult education theory.Strong financial analysis skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Five (5) years of professional leadership.Master's degree in business, health care administration, nursing or other closely related field.Industry certification (CHEM or CSP or CPDM).

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
