Manages all aspects of technician recruitment and development to support the growing technician need across the Subaru Brand from a national level. Grows, develops and supports the Subaru-U initiative to become a viable pipeline for retailer personnel. Develops key milestones and metrics, tracks current and future program performance.
Specific responsibilities include:
Promote and develop awareness and viability of the Subaru ?U initiative.
Establish performance based recruitment initiatives including tracking metrics.
Build professional relations with Retailers, Schools and Subaru offices to grow participation in mentoring and internship based technician development programs
Build strong relations with AYES/NATEF secondary and post- secondary schools to target Subaru stores for intern placement, training, employment and education.
Create synergy among Subaru -U schools, retailers, AYES and NATEF to encourage future technicians to select Subaru stores for their career choice.
Build relations with High-performing Subaru ? U schools to establish program guidelines and assist in overall growth.
Promote professional and cooperative relationships among Subaru ? U schools, industry, and community organizations to enhance Subaru's presence in the community.
Evaluates school, student, technician, retailer and regional feedback to determine program content, development and growth needs in the field.
Works with technical training staff to achieve student integration and positive results.
Evaluates and forecasts needed resources to grow and support the Subaru ? U initiative.
Requirements include a Bachelor's degree with 8 - 10 years of automotive and/or training experience and the following:
Ability to multi-task
Strong conflict resolution and creative thinking skills.
Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
Have a strong background in hands-on automotive repair and diagnosis
Have the ability to develop and work in a team environment
Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing to all levels of internal and external contacts and partners
Ability to provide coaching, constructive feedback, and direction to others including external partners.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
