Senior RF Subsystems Engineer & Technical Advisor

Job Description :
Aurora, Colorado:
A certified Subsystem Technical Advisor (TA). Member of an operational team of approximately 30 TAs in the Operations Engineering group.
Duties include daily evaluation of trending data of multiple subsystems to validate nominal system performance, identifying any system degradation and implementing appropriate responses to prevent adverse system impacts. Provide support to the program as a pivotal team member of a multifaceted group engaged in the planning and execution of complex engineering activities (planned and unplanned), calibrations, and complex operational changes on a high value operational system in a dynamic, real-time, and fast-paced environment.
Preventative maintenance and emergency response to critical system faults will often require manipulation and modification of software code.
The candidate will create appropriate documentation and entries in history logs, discrepancy reports, and process procedures on items specific to any/all subsystem updates and activities.
The successful candidate will receive extensive system-level and specific subsystem-level training and will extend that training to future candidates who enter the program.
The successful candidate will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) after completion of training and aid in the maintenance and development of operational procedures, creation, review, and update of training materials, development of trending reports, and create database inputs to support system operations.
Support technical forums to include customer briefs, working groups, and cross-program exchanges as required.
The candidate will plan and support software product development, maintenance, and program unique validation and testing requirements utilizing specific hardware and software processes and procedures.
The successful candidate will be required to carry a rotational 24/7 on-call pager within the TA subsystem team and respond to critical system faults after hours and on weekends and holidays as required.
Applicant selected will be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with experience in RF communications and/or Digital communications or equivalent experience/combined education.
Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work across sites in a multi-contractor team.
Must have an active TS/SCI clearance and be subject to a polygraph
Desired skills
SGLS (Space Ground Link System) experience. Radio communications experience to include a basic mechanical aptitude to understand the dynamics of antenna tracking systems.
GPS system technical knowledge.
Proficient in basic coding skills in at least one programming language plus any of the following:
Experience with MATLAB, PERL, C/C++, SQL, HTML, and UNIX/LINUX.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
