Supervisor I

Overview: Supervise associates in all facets of department and ensure individual/team goals are met and exceeded.
Available Hours:
Mon-Wed 9:00am-6:00pm
Sat/Sun choice of 6:00am or 9:00am start
(Off Thurs & Fri)
or
Mon-Fri 12:30pm-9:30pm
Responsibilities:

  1. Commit to Performance Based Organization (PBO) & Easy to Do Business with (ETDBW) philosophy.

  2. Contribute to Continuous Process Improvement.

  3. Act in place of manager in absence.

  4. Lead and participate in multiple Loan Service projects.

  5. Hire, lead, train, retain and develop associates.

  6. Analyze long-term impacts and plans accordingly.

  7. Addresses potential changes or improvements.

  8. Strive to make a difference through continued development of leadership and business acumen skills.

  9. Assign and monitor daily activities of associates and coordinate workflow.

  10. Provide feedback and recommendations to management on staffing, production, and budgetary needs.

  11. Maintain professional contact/communication with other departments/managers.

  12. Maintain standards utilizing established written procedures.

  13. Prepare periodic and special reports utilizing statistical data (productivity rates, error rates, liability, and various month end reports).

  14. Ensure that all functions are processed accurately and timely.

  15. Coordinate staff activities to meet production goal.

  16. Complete monthly, quarterly and annual performance evaluations if applicable

  17. Ensure adherence to Nelnet policies and guidelines.

  18. Foster an innovative environment.


Qualifications: EDUCATION:
4 year college degree preferred
EXPERIENCE:
1 year of experience in field or related field or commensurate education
1 year supervisory or leadership experience

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
