Summary ? Clinical Nurse Specialist NICU
Provides advanced care, consultation, research, management and education in our 50 bed Level III NICU
We are an academic medical facility recently ranked in the Top 20 Hospitals in the country by US News & World Report
Will work very closely with Children's Hospital of Colorado
Nurse Manager is a CNS and understand the importance and value of this role
Job duties
Provides advanced direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Serves as an expert consultant for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development.
Contributes to defining, directing and evaluating the nursing care and functions of clinical staff. Manages clinical research projects in support of evidence-based practice and disseminates findings.
Develops, implements and evaluates educational plans/programs and utilizes methods, measurements and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals
NICU CNS needed to continue to advance the quality and efficiency of care provided in NICU.
CNS will provide direct care when needed while applying theory and research to improve the efficiency and success of NICU systems.
Master's degree in Nursing and graduate of an accredited Clinical Nurse Specialist program
3 years nursing experience
State licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN), Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) and/or other designation as required by law
BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. All life support certification cards must be issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. (American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will need to be through an American Heart Association sanctioned course.)

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
