UCHA Eye Surgery Center
When it comes to eye surgery, experience and expertise matter. UCHealth eye surgeons belong to an academic medical center. At University of Colorado Hospital's Eye Center, located in metro Denver at the Anschutz medical campus, eye specialists offer the highest level of care for a wide range of conditions, from routine eye care to highly technical surgery and leading edge treatments for eye diseases such as glaucoma. UCHealth Eye Center doctors diagnose and treat the most complicated vision cases. They are leaders in research and training in laser vision surgery.
Summary
Provides direct patient care, in a medical/physician office setting, using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.
Job duties
Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience. BSN is required within 3 years of hire.
6 months nursing experience.
Licenses and Certifications
State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. All life support certification cards must be issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. (American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will need to be through an American Heart Association sanctioned course.)
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Nursing.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
