This position is Full-Time, 80 hours/Pay Period (bi-weekly), Day Shift
Summary ? Clinical Coord Nurse Outpatient
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, and take appropriate action. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Daily coordination of personnel and resources within a clinical specialty or department. This position is necessary for operation of the Multispecialty Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and Wound & Ostomy Practice. The position plays a significant role in patient navigation, data collection and analysis for the program. The position's role and responsibilities is required for the Center of Excellence Accreditation.
Job Duties
Coordinates staff scheduling, educational/development activities, and performance evaluations.
Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of clinical services.
Performs quality assurance studies and assists with implementation of QA/QI initiatives.
Serves as a resource to staff and external contacts on issues related to patient care, patient flow and clinical standards, policies and procedures.
Monitors departmental compliance with applicable requirements, including accreditation, legal, and any regulatory agency.
Supervises and mentors nursing and support staff during assigned shift.
Determines staffing level and assignments based on staff availability, staff abilities, census, and patient acuity.
Provides direct patient care as needed. Floats between staff to assist with problem-solving. May take patient assignments to meet staffing needs.
Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care and identifies any issues that affect desired patient outcomes. Responds to complaints about patient care and related services, and manages through established channels.
Performs role-specific duties as assigned, including entering orders, performing admission or discharges, and coordinating transfers. Ensures staff has necessary equipment and supplies to provide safe, quality patient care.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years experience. Effective 4/1/2014, a BSN is required for those accepting a registered nurse position or it must be attained within three years. The new hire must actively pursue and enroll in a BSN program within 6 months of their start date.
Two years nursing experience.
Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Colorado
Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date, and current AHA BLS must be good through sixty days of hire.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
