Job Description
This position is for the Mountain West Region. Candidate can be positioned at any of our Mountain West Region locations. CP (Commercial Print) Platform SME. Requires sound technical knowledge and understanding of the CP industry and CP platforms capabilities as well as a working knowledge of emerging technologies. Specific area of technical strength should encompass Prepress, Digital Print, Sheetfed, Web and Finishing as well as customer facing and manufacturing IT solutions. Specific areas of product vertical knowledge beyond General CP should encompass Digital, Sheetfed UV, Web UV, Web In-Line, ISM and Large Format, Packaging and Labels, Health Care and Life Sciences.
Is the primary first point of contact for sales and assists with coordination for customer required services across the platform. Key areas of focus include being a business development resource, partnering with and supporting the sales organization, providing technical support, providing platform navigation guidance and aligning sales opportunities with platform resources to win market share.
Acts as primary liaison and solution architect between customer, sales, and production facilities across the platform. Oversee and assist with pre production planning, solutions, RFP?s and related customer and sales support functions to achieve platform objectives. Ensures service levels and solution models provide an exceptional internal and external customer experience. Ensures service levels and solution models adhere with company policy, profit and quality requirements.
Work is typically performed under no supervision, with only guidance about overall goals and objectives. Usually receive minimal to no guidance about how to complete work objectives. Must be able to define work based on evaluation of short term and long term goals of the department. Able to independently evaluate processes, identify areas of improvement, and incorporate in to overall work objectives.
+ Builds relationships with customers and sales contacts. Partners with sales to identify customer requirements or expectations and then leverages knowledge of industry and platform to develop a business solution or model that meets customer objectives.
+ Communicates requirements of the solution or model to operations and ensures that operations are aligned and in turn working with sales to secure the business opportunity.
+ Key resource for sales. Provides education and guidance. Assists with identifying value added products, services or solutions. Provides insight on competitors and assists with development of pricing strategies that will position sales to win business and market share.
+ Drives resolution to account challenges by leveraging RRD resources and technologies.
+ Partners with Sales to develop and execute on strategic customer plans and contracts.
+ Assists with managing high profile, complex and or major accounts that require leveraging multiple operations across the platform to provide identified solutions or models
+ Provides recommendations to process improvements to bolster improved quality, customer satisfaction, increased productivity and lower operating costs.
+ Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
Required Skills

Degree in Graphic Arts or related field. Minimum of 3+ years of relevant work experience in a commercial print environment OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience.
Able to apply broad work experience and knowledge when analyzing complex problems. Must be able to consistently identify critical elements, variables and alternatives to develop solutions. Must be able to organize/prioritize existing resources and incorporate new information, as needed, to implement the most effective solutions. Able to communicate clearly and courteously with those who need to know of decisions/actions/problems. Able to apply excellent business acumen and collaborative skills when resolving problems.
Able to apply excellent functional computer knowledge in utilizing Microsoft Windows, or other technical tools in completing assignments. Able to apply expertise in all the tools or applications used to complete work assignments. Able to mentor junior level team members in the use of tools and/or systems in the position.
Requires excellent communication skills with ability to state messages in a clear manner by using language that is easy for others to understand. Able to explain programs policies and procedures in language that is understood by others. .
Must be able to modify communication style both formal and informal to match the appropriate level of the audience targeted. Requires strong understanding of the impact of a message on the organization or customer. Able to write with the clarity and precision necessary for the work being performed. Must have strong and demonstrated customer relationship skills. Must be able to work independently and lead resources from multiple organizations.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
