HRIS Specialist

Arapahoe County's Human Resources Department is seeking a HRIS Specialist. This position will be filled January 2017.
The HRIS Specialist supports the Human Resources Department in processing employee data. This role ensures data integrity by ensuring data is added into the HRIS accurately and auditing data throughout the life cycle of the employee. The HRIS Specialist is responsible for all Regulatory Reporting for Benefits, Compensation and Human Resources. This role is key to the credibility of the Human Resources function.
Duties:
DUTIES :
On a daily basis process and maintain employee information via final approval of Personnel Action Forms or via direct entry to SAP, including but not limited to: new hire set-up, salary, supervisor/reporting changes, organizational changes and employment status changes such as leaves of absence, employment terminations.
Continually audits data to ensure ongoing data integrity, working with Departments/Offices to make necessary changes and ensure accuracy and quality. Provides resolution suggestions when issues arise.
Ensures all Regulatory Reporting including form 1094 and form 1095 and EEO4 are completed.
Serves as HRIS first point of contact for all HRIS end-user issue resolution.
Work closely with Human Resources and Payroll to ensure accurate information is submitted and ready for Payroll to be run
Add, delete or change authorized positions as approved by the Board of County Commissioners and work closely with Finance in ensuring correct position budget and cost center status.
Creates end-user training documentation and delivers end-user training for ESS/MSS
Create, monitor and close temporary positions as required.
Processes HR vendor interface and data feeds.
Process and upload annual pay adjustment/merit files.
Process all mass uploads (LSMW).
Report Request Triage: Coordinates the gathering of requirements for design and testing of custom reports and produces ad-hoc data queries in response to requests from users within the Human Resources Department.
Prepares various queries on HR data needed for analysis of various scopes, including Align Arapahoe Reporting. Manages Scorecard updates in ClearPoint.
Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
Bachelor's in Human Resources, Computer Science or related field
At least 2 years of relevant experience; or
A combination of education and experience may be considered
REQUIREMENTS:
Skills and Abilities:
General knowledge of human resources functions.
Experience with Human Resource databases, including but not limited to data mining and query creation.
Extensive knowledge and competency in the use of Visio and MS Office Suite and Excel.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
