We are looking for a dynamic team player to design, consult and drive strategic solutions in support of our account management and business development of SMM customers. The Solutions Designer will be responsible for collaborating across internal departments and resources, both domestically and globally, to develop innovative and integrated strategies and solutions to support the growth of new sales, account expansion and retention of our Enterprise line of business. This key member of our team will utilize service delivery process to ensure we are setting up our delivery teams for sustainable success, while balancing client expectations. This person must be skilled in client facing relationship building, setting priorities, making quality decisions, and problem solving in a collaborative environment.
Account Retention & Growth:
+ Identify key areas for client organic growth: products, services, expansion opportunities, globalization, etc. within the current client base.
+ As relevant work across the BCD family of services (Travel, Advito & M&E) to determine opportunities to leverage services to the benefit of BCD M&E SMM customers and prospects
+ Act as key advocate for VOC (Voice of the Customer) feedback, helping to turn that data into actionable product or service enhancements to offer current or new M&E clients
+ As needed support the Q&A design and execution for annual, or more frequently, customer survey's centered around trends, innovations and potential gaps in their program results
+ Consult and provide perspective within sales & acct manager population, as needed to support targeted growth and expansion.
+ Identify competitive threats and offer swift solutions to preserve the integrity and retention of the client relationships
+ Proactively partner and consult with account management team to address pre-emptive bid &/or renewal opportunities with engagement from organizational SME's, as appropriate
+ Work to develop alternate client solutions based on client surveys/feedback, historical approach & industry trends
+ Support and direct efforts of marketing, sales, events and promotional activities that encourage/foster account growth, retention and new relationship building
+ Understand the market and business issues associated with key accounts so as to best counsel AMs on appropriate solutions and conditions
Team Support:
+ Serve as key strategist to BCD Meetings & Events Account Management and Business Development team for solutions design
+ Support sales and sales support, as a core team member, surrounding the solution assessment of bid deliverables
+ Lead, coordinate and finalize all resource modeling discussions (domestically and globally, if US owned bid) for client facing deliverables
+ Provide feedback, perspective and edits to client deliverables surrounding highlighted content and positioning
+ Represent Operations in the sales process and presentations to ensure efficiencies and focus across Operations Teams.
+ Creating and delivering presentation and incorporating to use "story telling" to create an emotional connection with the audience.
+ Knowledgeable on emerging trends
+ Collaborates with internal Meetings & Events stakeholders (operations, sourcing, sales, global, peers) to leverage client delivery success into proof points for sales and marketing related activities-gathering and cataloging best practices and positioning of "what have we done lately" content to be used by Sales, Sales Support and Marketing across a variety of mediums and campaigns
+ Key leader and facilitator of regional think tank sessions with key AM's/Leaders to ideate on new and/or innovative strategies, approaches, and/or products and services that can be both adopted with current clients and leveraged for new sales opportunities; continually up-level our approach to design and delivery.
+ Responsible for looking beyond BCD Meetings & Events for "what's next" bringing new ideas, partners that will position BCD Meetings & Events as a thought leader in the SMM space.
+ Participate in key industry events, speaking engagements as an overall brand ambassador.
Essential Qualifications:
+ Minimum 5 years of Business Development and/or Account Management experience, preferably in the events meetings & incentives, conferences industries
+ College Degree
+ Ability to project manage and deliver results
+ Excellent verbal & written communication
+ Demonstrated ability to build relationships
+ Sales acumen
+ Ability to work independently
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
