Senior Instructor/Assistant Professor
The University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SSPPS) is seeking applicants for a full-time, non-tenure track clinical faculty position. The school is nationally recognized for its leadership in pharmacy education, clinical practice, and its strong commitment to developing and sustaining a diverse faculty, staff and student body. This faculty position will work with faculty, preceptors and students throughout Colorado, North America and worldwide, who are participating in the Distance Degrees and Programs' (DDP) North American Trained and International Trained PharmD Programs (NTPD and ITPD, respectively), and the on-campus entry-level PharmD (ELPD) program. More specifically, this position will provide quality teaching services in the SSPPS DDP and ELPD programs, which includes providing course coordination/direction, partnering with the Instructional Design team in preparing and presenting lectures/online lessons and active learning sessions, assisting in the development of future DDP degree programs and courses, and working with DDP faculty and staff in refining and renewing DDP curricular pathways; providing quality experiential teaching services in the SSPPS Doctor of Pharmacy program, which includes precepting student Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences (IPPEs) and Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPEs), evaluating student performance using various assessment methods, mentoring and advising students; providing clinical care services in area appropriate to experience and needs; producing scholarly work focused on the provision of education and/or clinical services, which includes writing manuscripts (e.g., research articles, educational innovations, textbook chapters, therapeutic summaries/review articles) which are published in peer-reviewed academic journals and writing and successfully obtaining extramural funding to support research activities; limited participation in professional service activities such as department, school or university committee work, participation in professional organizations, and attendance at seminars, conferences, special courses, and scientific meetings; and working with the DDP Assistant Director of Operations to supervise administrative staff, as appropriate.
+ Applicants must have a Pharm.D. degree, advanced training through a pharmacy residency (PGY1 with or without PGY2)
+ Previous pharmacy education experience and must be a licensed pharmacist or eligible for licensure in Colorado.
+ Applicants with experience in distance delivery of education, especially online delivery
+ Experience in delivery of face-to-face education, including in the clinical setting
+ Pharmacy or clinical pharmacy practice experience
+ Experience managing multiple projects
+ Experience working in diverse teams, including those that are intercultural and/or inter-professional
+ Experience working in an intercultural environment is preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
