Geographic Location: Aurora, CO.
Job Description: As an OMNIPLEX Background Investigator (BI), you work cases throughout the geographic area of responsibility and travel to various places of employment, residence, and education institutions. Your flexible schedule gives you the freedom to plan your appointments, interviews, and administrative work in a way that works best for you. You work independently but this job is full of interaction with different and new people every day. You can also take full advantage of the experienced management and support staff that are available to answer questions and provide guidance whenever you need it. We equip you for success with a state-of-the-art case management tool and ongoing training. We make it easy and convenient for you to get the information you need as quickly as possible.

OMNIPLEX Background Investigators conduct federal background investigations for the Intelligence and the DHS Community and prepare reports of investigations in compliance with ICD 704 standards, all laws, and other required federal agency regulations. Additional duties may be assigned.
U.S. Citizenship.
H.S. Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of one to two years within the last ten (10) years of OPM investigations experience.
Successful completion an approved National Training Standards program/course.
Experience conducting one-on-one subject interviews.
Reliable personal vehicle, valid driver's license, and satisfactory driving record.
Willing to travel on temporary duty assignments as needed (by car or plane).
Successfully pass background checks and all required training.
Current (within the last 2 years) Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) or active Secret level security clearance based on an SSBI and able to obtain required clearance.
Preferred Experience and Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, National Strategic/Intelligence Studies or a related field.
Completion of an approved OPM investigator training program.
An Active Top Secret clearance (not required).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
