Role Description: Now hiring for a Lung Cancer Postdoctoral Fellow position that is offered through the (Medicine) Division of Medical Oncology within the Lung Cancer program/Doebele Research Laboratory located in Aurora, Colorado. The position will not be involved in course instruction and is not eligible for tenure. An employee in this position can be terminated at any time without notice and severance pay may not be provided.
The successful candidate hired for this scientific position will be responsible for executing the research projects in the areas of Oncology with oversight but minimal daily supervision from PI faculty. There will be an emphasis in developing and characterizing cell line and patient-based animal models for the study of human lung cancer, with a focus on drug development and understanding mechanisms of drug resistance.
+ Duties and Responsibilities: The position will be responsible for the campus research projects and perform basic laboratory research. The position will require completion of the following duties:
+ Developing research protocols;
+ Collaboration with other labs (both within the University of Colorado and with outside institutions) including PIs, post-docs, and/or professional research assistants;
+ Preparation and handling of human and animal tissues, cells, and cell lines;
+ Analysis of human tumor samples or blood for cancer-related biomarkers; light and fluorescent microscopic analysis;
+ Perform recombinant DNA and protein; work with lentiviruses; extraction and analysis of DNA, RNA, and protein;
+ Animal care related to animal models of lung cancer including anesthetization, injection and imaging of small animals.
+ Fluorescence microscopy and flow cytometry; Training and supervision of laboratory personnel including PRAs, postdocs, graduate students, medical fellows or summer students in experimental techniques;
+ Completion of research project including preparation of written manuscripts and submission for publication.
+ Presentation of work on campus or at scientific meetings including the preparation of MS Office Powerpoint presentations.
Working Conditions: The position requires 100% effort working within the secured research laboratory. Note: Working in the evening or working on weekends may be required and reviewed on a project-by-project basis within the research laboratory. The position will require research laboratory bench work skills, moderate lifting of research laboratory supplies, handling of research laboratory animals and good hand to eye coordination

Qualifications:Recent PhD in the biological sciences.
+ Proven Experience and Familiarity with mammalian cell culture, western blotting, cellular and molecular biology techniques.
+ Excellent communication and organizational skills.
+ Publication record with at least two first publications.
+ Candidate will be asked to submit a writing sample (e.g., grant or other similar).
+ Must be proficient in MS PowerPoint from concept to completion and have public speaking experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ In Depth, Hands-On Knowledge Working with mouse models of cancer.
+ Working research experience in cancer cell signal transduction.
+ Strong background in Molecular Biology.
+ Prior supervisory experience.
+ The final candidate will be motivated, reliable and willing to learn new research techniques, be self-directed with ability to work independently, team-oriented, flexible, and able to communicate effectively with research details.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
