Eaton located in Aurora, CO has an opening for a 1st Shift Material Handler
Primary Function
A Material Handler is responsible for moving products in the warehouse. This includes moving materials between shelving and the production lines. Material handlers make sure production areas are fully stocked and have the products they need to fulfill orders
Essential Functions
Utilize computer and perform cycle counts of components. Analyze cycle count information to determine root cause and corrective action. Resolve all errors by research and auditing of transactions.
Work on projects and special assignments as required. Initiative to be a self-starter and accomplish all tasks.
Receive, document, store, stage and issue all job related material to satisfy production requirements.
Support assembly / fabrication requirements, as necessary. Overtime is sometimes needed in order to accomplish all required tasks.
Select, prepare & update paperwork and schedules both on paper and computer.
Package, create and band equipment, parts, materials, products and accessories to minimize damage during shipment or staging and to create a safe work environment.
Apply labels, stickers, and stencils as required for identification and ease of storage or shipping.
Comply with all safety requirements including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment in a safe and competent manner. Understand and meet all departmental safety objectives and goals. Keep assigned work-area clean, organized, and orderly per 5S standards.
Operate forklifts, cranes, and yard trucks to transport and locate equipment and materials to required areas.
Utilize SAP for material handler transactions
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)
Basic Qualifications
High School education or equivalent (i.e., diploma or GED) from an accredited institution required.
Must be able to work in the US without Company sponsorship.
1 year manufacturing or warehouse/distribution experience is required.
Only candidates in the geographic area of Denver will be considered. Relocation benefits are not provided for this position

Technical aptitude (ability to read wiring diagrams, technical drawings and materials documentation).
Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format in English
Candidate must be certified or willing to be certified in the operation of forklifts, cranes, and yard trucks to transport and locate equipment and materials to required areas.
Ability to distinguish between colors
Candidate must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. with reasonable accommodation. Incumbent must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position.
Knowledge of processes and procedures related to steel and bus fabrication, purchasing, receiving, shipping, and inventory control is preferred.
Broad range of knowledge in materials planning, scheduling, receiving, shipping, and tracking systems is desired.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
