Assistant Professor
The Department of Neurology at the University of Colorado Denver, Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking to expand its clinical and clinical research research programs within our section of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and Neuroimmunology. Applications are encouraged from candidates with clinical and/or basic research interests. The position is full time faculty, with the opportunity for academic promotion, judged on criteria of demonstrated excellence as a clinician/educator/scholar. Faculty rank will be at the Assistant Professor level.
The duties in this faculty position will include clinical care, teaching, research, and service responsibilities. Specific responsibilities include: Providing subspecialty care to patients with MS, NMO, autoimmune encephalitidies and other immune/inflammatory diseases of the nervous system. Some general neurology patient care may also be possible. The successful applicant will also join other 10 clinicians (6 Neurologists and 4 Advance Practitioners) in the MS and Neuroimmunology Program's clinical and basic research program. The section has over 25 grants and contracts for clinical research alone and several members also collaborate with basic science labs on campus. All of the clinicians in the section collaborate on all studies as either principal investigator or co-investigator. The section's clinical research program represents a balance between contract studies and investigator initiated studies including funding from NINDS, NMSS and PCORI.
The successful applicant will also participate in our professional and patient/family education programs supported and organized through the community based non-profit organization; The Rocky Mountain MS Center (RMMSC).
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Applicants should be a Board Certified/Eligible Neurologist who has completed fellowship training in MS and clinical neuroimmunology. A State of Colorado medical license and DEA license must be obtained on or before hire date.
Preferred Qualifications:
A record of previous or current research funding is highly desirable.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
