Requirements
Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)
2 years of experience in a related field of specialty.
Critical care experience.
Unrestricted RN license from the State of Colorado Board of Nursing or compact privileges under the multi-state Nurse Licensure Compact agreement.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
Summary
The transplant coordinator is involved in general program and patient activities. This nurse establishes and promotes a liaison relationship between the transplant team members and the patient's families. She/he provides program information, patient follow-up plans, and is available for educational programming with the referring facilities and physicians. As a liaison to governmental and other regulatory agencies as required (Medicare, Medicaid, UNOS, ESRD, etc.), the transplant surgery, and follow-up status. The transplant coordinator also may serve in an on-call capacity for the transplant program.
Job duties
Knowledge of clinical issues pertinent to solid organ transplantation.
Ability to establish priorities appropriately, set goals, and work independently.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, and ALL members of the interdisciplinary health care team.
Ability to coordinate transplant team activities with patients, families, organ donor networks regulatory agencies.
Ability to analyze, develop, and implement an appropriate and logical plan from available data.
Coordinates the care of the transplant patients through collaboration with the transplant attending surgeons, surgical residents, attending medical staff, transplant nurse educator, nurse practitioners/physician assistants, and nursing staff.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
